Entitlement has ruined America LSU womens team sparks controversy after skipping nation

The LSU Tigers fought hard in tonight’s NCAA Elite Eight game against the Iowa Hawkeyes. However, something they did before the game that has caught the attention of fans. During the rendition of the national anthem, none of the LSU players or coaching staff were either near their bench or on the court. This has sparked controversy as fans bashed them on social media.

Before every game, the national anthem is a mandatory event that all must stand and pay respect to. The Iowa Hawkeyes team was on the court holding hands as they stood proud when the country’s national anthem was performed. However, video footage showed that the LSU side of the court was empty. Nobody was to be found near their bench either. The footage has now gone viral putting the LSU side in hot waters.

What made matters worse was the loss at the hands of Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The revenge loss has put Angel Reese and her team in a bad spot altogether. The defending champions were looking to repeat an entry to the NCAA Finals but have been sent home.

This NCAA Elite Eight matchup was supposed to be one of the most watched games in college basketball. After all, last season’s finals set up the plot for this game. Clark and her teammates sent the Tigers packing after providing a dominating performance.

LSU Tigers women’s basketball team sparking controversy

Angel Reese and her LSU Tigers team are already embroiled in controversies. Since last year’s NCAA Finals, they have been subject to increasing scrutiny and subsequent criticism. Even head coach Kim Mulkey has been courting controversy with her remarks in interviews.
