Its always a temptation, Dave Bautista comments on coming out of retirement for potentially

Bidding adieu to the squared circle on one’s own terms is what a wrestler arguably sweats for. Dave Bautista, someone whom the fans thought would never get to wrestle Triple H in that elusive WrestleMania encounter, is at solace with how he bowed out. But does he have a hunch to lace those boots one last time? Of course, there’s some temptation, said the 55-year-old.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet, the wrestler-turned-actor affirmed how perfectly his WrestleMania 35 bout with Triple H panned out. Respecting the fact that he called it a day the way he wanted to, Dave stressed that he’d never tarnish that. The former World Champion admitted that he does miss the energy of a live crowd. He even dreams of walking out to his entrance music once again. But then, if he goes back, he’ll ruin his storybook ending, and that’s the way he thinks.

The former Evolution member said he’s to this date tempted to be in that spot every time he hears his WWE battle hymn. Dave Bautista regarded it as a drug. However, he’s come to terms that his time in the ring is over. One could deduce how much Batista misses being a pro wrestler based on his penchant of sneaking in his acclaimed WWE finisher – the Batista Bomb, in most of his movies.

I dream about walking out and hearing my entrance music, but I know if I do that, I will just tarnish my storybook ending, and I’m just not willing…..It’s always a temptation because I miss it.

Dave calls it a nod to the fans who’ve had his back through thick and thin. The Animal is currently on a tour to promote his upcoming movie titled The Killer’s Game. It’s set to hit the theatres on September 13. The action comedy film also features current WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre whose first look got the fans amped up.

Does Dave Bautista aspire to be in the WWE Hall of Fame?

As the fans know, Dave Bautista is long overdue for a WWE Hall of Fame induction. He was first announced to lead a class of legendary inductees back in 2020. However, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor pulled out due to the widespread Covid-19 pandemic.

Then it was supposed to be last year in Los Angeles. However, he couldn’t make it due to being in South Africa for a film, as confirmed by Batista in the aforementioned interview. The Washington-based actor says he still wants it to happen and believes it will eventually.

Dave hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since his wrestling swansong in 2019. He was backstage for the final episode of SmackDown in 2022 due to it being in the nation’s capital. Bautista caught up with Triple H and Titus O’Neil before exiting the arena.
